Inspiration tools are big business, and the trailblazers at Pinterest and Instagram are leading the way. These inspiration giants are already fueling a global crafting/designing/exploring phenomenon, providing a wealth of inspiration and information when it comes to home design. You only need to type in “beautiful bathroom”, and you’ll get thousands of photographs of stylish, meticulously designed bathrooms to suit every taste.
But how does your consumer turn their vision into a reality?
At DigitalBridge we understand that, for the majority of consumers, the step between curating an inspiration board, whether on Pinterest or elsewhere, and actually designing a dream bathroom can feel more like a leap of faith - we aren’t all interior designers or architects after all. So we’re developing a tool that will capture your customers favourite items from their favourite pins (just draw a circle around the bit you love!) and we’ll show them what matches from your product catalogue. It’s just a little bit of our machine learning magic.

So the customer now has the products for their dream bathroom, but how to arrange them to maximise the space and all-important aesthetic of the room?
We’ve developed Catalyst: our auto-design tool that, at just a click of a button, will fully populate the consumer’s room with a suite of products, in the best layout for the space. We mix AI with the product catalogue, and ta-da! The consumer can see how to use your products to create their dream space, absolutely no additional expertise required. Being faced with an empty space can be seriously daunting, so we guide your customers smoothly through process.
On top of this, our research has shown consumers are more likely to convert if their design has four or more items, so we populate accordingly, including upsell accessories like radiators, loo-roll holders and towel rails. Our aim isn’t just to create a design that looks pretty, but one that actually ends up in your customer’s basket.

Want your consumers to get as close to try-before-you-buy as possible? Once your customer has created their ideal room layout they simply hit the “make it 3D” button and we’ll bring the design to life. Your customer can explore their space, and even switch the products and update the layout as they go. More than this, your consumer can even try the room layout in virtual reality - making them confident they’ll love their new bathroom and ready to invest in their renovation.
Not only does this increase conversion, it boosts customer satisfaction, reduces rate of item returns, and inspires consumers to commit to their purchase much faster than traditional, back-and-forth meetings with design consultants.
