Scott Thomas leads company legal activities and is responsible for day-to-day oversight of a variety of legal and regulatory issues. He has over 15 years of broad experience in commercial law practice, and his areas of professional focus have been litigation, corporate governance and counseling, finance, M&A due diligence, contracts, products liability, employment, corporate secretary functions, intellectual property, risk management, business development, government relations, employee benefits planning & administration, franchising, and nonprofit organizations.
Scott formerly practiced in the Washington, D.C., offices of Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy as well as Spriggs & Hollingsworth (now Hollingsworth LLP) and in the Atlanta office of Kilpatrick Stockton. He is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and of the Defense Research Institute. Additionally, he is admitted to the Bars of Utah, the District of Columbia, and Georgia, and he is admitted to practice in several federal trial and appellate courts. Scott graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University and cum laude from the J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University.
